Good sermon, Robert. All very true and very germane to the dichotomy of worlds that many of us struggle with: our personal/church lives and our business lives. It shouldn’t be a struggle, yet there it is day in and day out. Good job on your first sermon – I thought your delivery was good, your content was salient and Scripturally sound, and the application was spot on.

You need to work in a “oh, one more thing…” to your sermons. Might become a type of signature ending for you. 🙂

Fellow critical thinkers. I’m sure many of you have heard of the well known magician and sceptic, James Randi, particularly in his role of investigating and debunking bogus alleged supernatural phenomenon ranging from fraudulent psychic nonsense to faith healers to homeopathy to name a few. This great man has done the world a huge service in exposing these charlatans for what they really are. Now we have a little opportunity to help him (and the promoting of rationality). As we speak they are making a movie about his life “An Honest Liar” (for those of you who haven’t heard of it i recommend looking it up on YouTube to see a 5 minute preview). This movie is being targeted towards a wider audience and so i feel could be a game changer in spreading critical thinking, something we are all no doubt passionate about.
